SHORE EXCURSION Wednesday 21 April 6:30 - 9:15 pm |
We start our excursion in the early evening, in the little town of Svolvær, which is often called the capital of the Lofoten archipelago. After a short drive through Svolvær, we leave the main road to go to the charming fishing village of Henningsvær. The road leading to the village is winding and narrow, but goes through a strange, yet beautiful scenery. |

In Henningsvær we visit an art gallery, to see paintings of the Norwegian Karl Erik Harr among others. There is also a slide show comprising photos of Lofoten in all seasons and in all kinds of weather. |
After the visit to the village we continue the ride along the Lofoten islands as the guide tells
us about life in Lofoten nowadays and in earlier times, and we get a chance to see some other
types of landscapes in this wonderful and world-famous area of Norway.
We will be passing through other small villages, before we join the ship again in the fishing village of Stamsund. | ![]() |
